We hope you like our unique art t-shirts inspired by tree branches and roots.

These nature-inspired t-shirts represent a new direction for us as artists. We’ve been making a lot of political imagery rooted in war and aggression as a reaction to US politics and current events. This new series of unique, and finely screen-printed t-shirts explores connections in nature through photo/digital collage. Part of our thinking is that by working on more positive art we’ll be more positive in our being (a healthy goal to have).
Our process involves a lot of capturing; we create a resource library for each new project. Lately we’re shooting a lot of digital photos of trees, leaves, branches and roots. We take these tree parts and images and combine them with digital scans from library books, photo textures and other illustrations. We tried to push this series of t-shirts and two of the designs use a 5- and 6-color ink process for screen printing — the graphics on the shirts look amazing up close!
We’d love to know what you think, so go say something nice about these new pieces on our blog!
