Our attraction to layered imagery lends itself perfectly for screen printing.

Collage heavily informs our artistic process, starting with appropriated images, re-contextualizing them, and in the end, changing them into something that’s ours. Our artistic goal is to create images that inspire and provoke positive action. This wallet represents a lot of thought, effort and artistic process, from shooting photography to late night screen printing sessions in our garage.

We’re selling a handful of new one-of-a-kind wallets. They’ve got plenty of credit card pockets/slots plus some very nice details like screen printing inside the bill fold area — to keep your cash visually stimulated, of course.

Having recently seen some lovely Dada art pieces in Paris, I thought it would be interesting to look at some examples of innovative and creative typography in the Dada art movement.

The Dada art movement explored and experimented with design and typography. Artists borrowed letterforms, shapes, text and phrases from contemporary magazines and newspapers for use in their collage pieces. Dada was a time of experimentation, so many of these layouts were very unconventional in the 1920s.

Artist Tristan Tzara said:

“Each page must explode, either by deep and weight seriousness—the whirlwind, the vertigo, the new, the eternal—by the crushing jokes, by the enthusiasm for the principles, or by the manner of being printed.”

Let’s look at a few collage pieces that explore different typefaces, letterforms and text experiments.
